Vest Wins Iowa PGA Professional Championship-
Moravia, Iowa – Tracy Vest of Lake House Sports wins the Iowa PGA Professional Championship on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake. He will lead four (4) Iowa PGA Section Professionals to compete in the 57th PGA Professional Championship, April 28-May 1, 2024, at Fields Ranch at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas.

Vest turned in a winning total of 66-67-69=202, 14-under-par to capture the Iowa PGA Professional Championship. This is Vest’s first Iowa PGA Professional Championship title. Runner-up Jeff Schmid of Brown Deer Golf Club turned in a total of 65-70-70=205, 11-under-par.

Vest captured the Senior Division Title as well. Schmid came in second place in the Senior Division.

The Super Senior Division was won by John Bermel of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course with rounds of 71-72-71=214 for a total of 2-under-par. Jeff Smith of Harvest Point Golf Course carded 75-73-73=221 with a 5-over-par to finish runner-up.

Vest is joined by Schmid, Darin Fisher of The Preserve on Rathbun Lake and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club. These four Iowa PGA Professionals will be competing in the 57th PGA Professional Championship, April 28-May 1, 2024, at Fields Ranch at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas. The alternates in order are Davis Sutton of Cedar Rapids Country Club, Ben Montgomery of Airport National Golf Course, Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club and Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course.
