Three Teams Tie for First Place in the Iowa PGA Central Iowa Fourball-
Ames, Iowa – The teams of Sean McCarty and Jeff Schmid both of Brown Deer Golf Club; Bryan Luedtke of Bunker Links Golf Course and Zach Steffen of Terrace Hills Golf Course and Greg Dingel and Ben Stewart both of Veenker Memorial Golf Course all tied for first place in the Iowa PGA Central Iowa Fourball on Monday, April 22 at Ames Golf & Country Club. The teams of McCarty and Schmid; Luedtke and Steffen and Dingel and Stewart all turned in a team scores of 4-under-par 67.
Teams comprised of two Iowa PGA Professionals. 18-Hole Team Event – 1 Best Ball of 2. Individual Open, Senior, Super Senior and Legends Divisions.
In addition to the team event, the Iowa PGA Central Iowa Fourball featured individual competitions for the Open, Senior, Super Senior and Legends Divisions.
Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf and Steffen both tied for first place in the Open Division both with a rounds of 1-under-par 70. Gibb turned in birdies on hole 1 and 17 including a bogey on hole 18. Steffen turned in birdies on holes 1, 4 and 14 including bogeys on holes 10 and 11.
Gibb took home first place in the Senior Division. Life Member Dave Ranney turned in 2-over-par 73 to place second in the Senior Division.
Ranney took home first place in the Super Senior Division. Ranney turned in birdies on holes 3 and 13 including bogeys on holes 1, 2, 4 and 17.
Life Member Larry Castagnoli took home first place in the Legends Division with a round of 1-over-par 72. Castagnoli turned in birdies on holes 2, 3 and 15 including bogeys on holes 4, 8, 10 and 11.
