Team Black/Fowler Win the Iowa PGA Quad Cities Fourball-
Silvis, Illinois – The team of Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course and Todd Fowler of Golf Galaxy – Davenport took home first place in the Iowa PGA Quad Cities Fourball on Monday, April 29 at TPC Deere Run. Team Black/Fowler turned in a team score of 9-under-par 62.

Teams comprised of two Iowa PGA Professionals. 18-Hole Team Event – 1 Best Ball of 2. Individual Open, Senior, Super Senior and Legends Divisions.

In addition to the team event, the Iowa PGA Central Iowa Fourball featured individual competitions for the Open, Senior, Super Senior and Legends Divisions.

Ben Montgomery of Airport National Golf Course took home first place in the Open Division with a round of 2-under-par 69. Montgomery turned in birdies on holes 1, 3, 12, 14 and 17 including bogeys on holes 5, 6 and 8. Matt Erger of Airport National Golf Course and Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course both turned in 1-over-par 72 to tie for second place in the Open Division.

Black took home first place in the Senior Division. Black turned in birdies on holes 2, 5, 7, 13, 15 and 16; bogeys on holes 1, 11 and 14 including double bogeys on holes 6 and 12. Fowler, Bryan Luedtke of Bunker Links Golf Course and Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf all tied for second place in the Senior Division and all turned in 3-over-par 74.

Life Member Kris Smith took home first place in the Super Senior Division with a round of 71 even-par. Smith turned in birdies on holes 8, 13, 16, 17 and 18 including bogeys on holes 4, 6, 9, 12 and 15. Jeff Smith of Harvest Point Golf Course and John Bermel of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course both turned in 6-over-par 77 to tie for second place in the Super Senior Division.

Life Member Gale Gilbert took home first place in the Legends Division with a round of 6-over-par 77. Gilbert turned in birdies on holes 6, 12 and 14; bogeys on holes 5, 9, 15 and 16 including double bogeys on holes 8 and 18. Life Member Larry Castagnoli turned in 12-over-par 83 to place second in the Legends Division.
