Three Way Tie for First Junior-Senior Draw
Burlington, Iowa – The teams of JR Millar of Lake Bracken Country Club and Jeff Smith of Harvest Point Golf Course; Tracy Vest of Lake House Sports and Paul DelVecchio of Crow Valley Golf Club; Dillon Baker of Finkbine Golf Course and Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf all tied for first place in the Junior-Senior Draw Presented by Maui Jim, Monday, July 31 at Spirit Hollow Golf Course. All teams turned in an 6-under-par 66.

Teams for Junior-Senior Draw were comprised of two Iowa Section PGA Professionals competing in a one best ball of 2 gross.

Chad Proehl hole in one on hole #12 from 159 yards using a 8 iron. Witnessed by Jacob Shultz, Brian Wernimont & Ben Montgomery. His 14th HIO to go along with 3 double eagles. Congratulations Proehl!

In addition to the team event, the Iowa PGA Junior-Senior Draw featured individual competitions for the Open, Senior and Super Senior Divisions.

Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Club claimed first place in the Open Division & Senior Division with a 5-under-par 67. Proehl carded birdies on holes 5, 8, 10 and 17; a hole in one on 12 including a double bogey on hole 13. Runner-up Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club and Vest both turned in 3-under-par 69 in the Open and Senior Division.

Smith won the Super Senior Division with a 2-under-par 70. Runner-up Life Member Joe Burlington turned in even-par 72.
