Team Vest Wins Pro-Senior-
Iowa City, Iowa – Tracy Vest of Lake House Sports and his team of Rick Schupbach, Bill Watson and Kirby Schmidt won the Pro-Senior Monday, September 25 at Finkbine Golf Course. Vest turned in 29 quota points to capture the win.
Teams for Pro-Senior were comprised of one Professional and three Senior Amateurs competing in a modified Stableford Scoring system.
Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club and his team of Brian Donohoe, John Martin and Ed Schmuker turned in 18 quota points to come in second-place.
In addition to the team event, the Iowa PGA Pro-Senior featured individual competitions for the Open, Senior and Super Senior Divisions.
Vest took home first place in the Open Division and Senior Division with 8-under-par round of 64. Vest carded birdies on holes 2, 5, 8, 9, 11, 14 and 16; an eagle on hole 6 including a bogey on hole 4. Jeff Schmid of Brown Deer Golf Club turned in 3-under-par round of 69 to come in second place in the Open Division and Senior Division.
Curt Schnell of Okoboji View Golf Course took home first place in the Super Senior Division with even-par round of 72. Schnell carded birdies on holes 1, 5, 6 and 12 including bogeys on holes 9, 11, 16 and 18. Life Member Joe Butler and Mike Hall of Brown Deer Golf Club both tied for runner-up with 3-over-par round of 75.
