Stroke Play Championship Recap –
Riverside, Iowa – Two of our Iowa PGA Professionals Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course and Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course are competing in the Stroke Play Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Round 1
Black’s first round he carded birdies on holes 1, 5, 12 and 16 including bogeys on holes 8, 11, 13 and 14. Black’s first round total 35-37-72.

Proehl’s first round he carded birdies on holes 1 and 12; bogeys on holes 16 and 17 including double bogeys on holes 3 and 4. Proehl’s first round total 40-36=76.

Round 2
Black’s second round he carded birdies on holes 5 and 6; bogeys on holes 7, 8, 10, 13, 15 and 18 including double bogeys on hole 16. Black’s 36-hole total rounds were 72-77=149, 6-over-par.

Proehl’s second round he carded birdies on holes 15 and 16; bogeys on holes 4, 6, 7, 8 and 10 including double bogey on hole 2. Proehl’s 36-hole total rounds were 76-77=153, 10-over-par.

Proehl and Black missed the final round of play withdrew from the competition.
