Iowa PGA Spring Meeting & Pro-Assistant/Pro-Pro Results-
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Elmcrest Country Club played host to the 2024 Iowa PGA Spring Meeting and Pro-Assistant/Pro-Pro event presented by Harris Golf Cars and Under Armour.
The morning update included Business Meetings, Sponsor presentations from Harris Golf Cars and Under Armour, Education and followed by the Iowa PGA Pro-Assistant.
The players also competed in a Pro-Assistant/Pro-Pro event here on Monday, April 15 at Elmcrest Country Club. Thank you to our Presenting Sponsors Harris Golf Cars and Under Armour.
Teams for Pro-Assistant & Pro-Pro were comprised of 2 team divisions Pro-Assistant & Pro-Pro competing in an 18-Hole, 1 Best Ball of 2 Gross, Team Event Only – no individual event associated with this tournament.
The team of Sean McCarty and Jeff Schmid both of Brown Deer Golf Club won the Pro-Assistant turned in a round of 6-under-par 64. McCarty and Schmid turned in birdies on holes 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9 and 11 including a bogey on hole 15. The second place team of Matt Erger and Ben Montgomery both of Airport National Golf Course turned in a round of 4-under-par 66.
The team of John Dinnebier of Briarwood Golf Club and McCarty won the Pro-Pro turned in a round of 7-under-par 63. Dinnebier and McCarty turned in birdies on holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 and 16 including a bogey on hole 15. Three-way tie for second place with the teams of McCarty and Schmid; Montgomery and Justin Valde of Airport National Golf Course and Dillon Baker of Pleasant Valley Golf Course and Tracy Vest of Lake House Sports all shooting rounds of 6-under-par 64.
