Proehl Senior & McMillan Women’s Player of the Year Winners-
Riverside, Iowa – Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course has won the Iowa PGA 2023 Senior Player of the Year Award. Proehl accumulated 2,128.33 points on the year to win the Senior Player of the Year. Click here for Senior Player of the Year results.
Proehl competed in 19 Iowa PGA events this season where PGA Senior Player of the Year points were awarded. Proehl was the top Senior finisher in Match Play Championship, Junior Academy Senior Stroke Play Event, Lennox/Quakerdale Pro-Am, Team All-Pro and Junior-Senior Draw.
Proehl competed in the 2023 Senior PGA Professional Championship on October 26-29, 2023 at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Proehls 72-hole total rounds of 68-72-74-74=288, 1-over-par and finished tied for 13th place. Proehl is part of the Top 35 corebridge financial PGA Team that will compete in the 2024 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship on May 23-26, 2024 at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Morgan McMillan of Oneota Golf & Country Club has won the Iowa PGA 2023 Women’s Player of the Year Award. McMillan captured the win at the Iowa Women’s PGA Professional Championship on August 17, 2023.
When asked on what this means to win this award McMillan responded with, “Thank you to the Iowa PGA Section, my family, friends, and co workers. It’s an honor to be a member of the PGA and win the Iowa Women’s PGA Section Championship. We have a great group of women in our section who work hard to continue to represent and grow the game of golf. I look forward to participating in more section events next year.”
