McCarty Leads Iowa PGA Professional Championship –
Marshalltown, Iowa – Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club leads the Iowa PGA Professional Championship on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Elmwood Country Club. Final round will be completed on July 26, 2022. Final round will begin at 7:30 am tomorrow with tee times starting off #1 , click here.
McCarty turned in a 36-hole total of 8-under-par with rounds of 68-64=132 to lead the Iowa PGA Professional Championship. Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club both sitting at 5-under-par 135.
Proehl sits in first place of the Senior Division with rounds of 67-68=135 to sit 5-under-par. Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf sit at second place with rounds of 67-71=138, 2-under-par to sit three shots back.
The Super Senior Division has a tie for the lead by Jeff Smith of Harvest Point Golf Course and John Bermel of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course with 36-hole totals of 1-under-par 139.

The top 4 finishers in tomorrow’s event qualify for the 56th PGA Professional Championship, May 15-21, 2023 at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York.
