Mark Burke, PGA passed away on Monday February 20, 2023 while sailing with his bride, Linda, in the US Virgin Islands.

Mark has been instrumental in growing golf since he arrived in the Iowa PGA in 2005 at Willow Creek Golf Course. Mark started at Miracle Hill GC in Omaha in 2000 as an Assistant Professional. Mark obtained his Class A Membership in the PGA of America on December 03, 2004.
Here is Mark’s introduction from the 2017 All Star Pro Golf Awards Luncheon – “Mark followed his family tradition of enlisting in the United States Armed Forces, where he served four years in the U.S. Navy just out of high school. Since Mark became a PGA Member, he has actively supported Patriotic Activities both financially, and by offering his time and resources to programs that benefit veterans. One of Mark’s principal contributions is to the Golf for Injured Veterans Everywhere (G.I.V.E.) Foundation, which was founded in 2007. Mark began volunteering at Blue Top Ridge at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort during the GIVE’s inaugural year. In 2010, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Instruction. Since 2013 Mark continues to make a difference serving as the lead instructor for the GIVE Central Iowa Chapter, utilizing Warrior Run, the course he leases (leased), as their home base.”
