Every year, the Iowa PGA Section also acknowledges the golf professional with the low stroke average. To be considered for this award, Professionals must play a minimum of 10 rounds that are included in the Player of the Year schedule. These events also must be administered by the Iowa PGA Section staff. Low stroke average is compiled by adding all rounds played and then dividing by the total number of rounds played. This year's winner of this award is Sean McCarty, Head PGA Professional at Brown Deer Golf Club. McCarty's stroke average was 70.09. Congratulations to Sean on his Low Scoring Average Award.
