Iowa PGA Players of the Year Vest, Smith, Jennings And Low Scoring Average Steffen-
Vest Wins 2023 Iowa PGA Player of the Year:
Tracy Vest of Lake House Sports has won the 2023 Iowa PGA Player of the Year with a total of 1,672.50 points. This marks Vest’s first Player of the Year award.
Vest competed in 20 Iowa PGA events this season where PGA Player of the Year points were awarded. He had 14 top-five finished including wins at the Mizuno 36 Hole Classic, Junior Academy Stroke Play Event, Iowa PGA Professional Championship, Genesis Pro-Am -TPC Deere Run and Pro-Senior.
Vest competed in the Wells Fargo Nebraska Open on September 15-17, 2023 at Elks Country Club in Columbus, Nebraska. Vest’s three-day rounds were 72-70-66=208, 5-under-par, he finished tied for second place in the Senior Professionals Division.
Vest will compete in the 2023 Senior PGA Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida on October 26-29, 2023.

Smith Wins 2023 Iowa PGA Super Senior Player of the Year
Jeff Smith of the Harvest Point Golf Course has won the 2023 Iowa PGA Super-Senior Player of the Year with 1,030.63 points. This marks the fifth straight year Smith has won the Iowa PGA Super Senior Player of the Year.
Smith competed in 12 Iowa PGA events this season where Super Senior Player of the Year points were awarded. Smith was the top Super-Senior finisher Pro-Pro #2, Team All-Pro and Junior-Senior Draw.
Smith was the Player of the Year in the Super Senior Division in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 and Player of the Year in the Senior Division in 2015.

Jennings Wins 2023 Iowa PGA Assistant Player of the Year
Matt Jennings of Bos Landen Golf Course has won the Iowa PGA 2023 Assistant Player of the Year award. Jennings accumulated 1,555 points on the year to win the Assistant Player of the Year. This is Jennings second year in a row to win the Assistant Player of the Year.
Jennings competed in 18 Iowa PGA events this season where Assistant Player of the Year points were awarded. He finished in the top-five of the Assistant Player of the Year division in every event he competed in. He won the Assistant Division in the Mizuno 36 Hole Classic, Pro-Pro #3, 90th Iowa Open, NB Golf Cars/M&M Golf Cars Foundation Pro-Am, Iowa Assistant PGA Professional Championship and NB Golf Cars/M&M Golf Cars October Shootout.

Steffen Wins 2023 Iowa PGA Low Scoring Average
Zach Steffen of Terrace Hills Golf Course has won the 2023 Iowa PGA Low Scoring Average with an average of 69.76 – that was an average of 1.81 under par. This marks back-to-back years where Steffen has won the Iowa PGA Low Scoring Average title.
Steffen played in 15 Iowa PGA events this season, finishing inside the top-five at five events, including victories in the Assistant Match Play and Pro-Pro #1. On the year Steffen made 99 birdies and 5 eagles in competition rounds. His year was highlighted by a 66 (-5) at Terrace Hills Golf Course during Pro-Pro #1.
