Port St. Lucie, Florida – Iowa PGA Members Chris Black and Jeff Schmid both finished T55 at the PGA Tournament Series Event #2 on the Wanamaker Course at the PGA Golf Club. The final round of the event was cancelled after two weather delays.
Black, who tied for first before falling in a five-way playoff in Event #1, carded a 4-over-par 76 in his first round. Schmid, competing in his first PGA Tournament Series event this winter, also recorded a 4-over-par 76 on Monday.
Following two rain delays, Championship Manager for the PGA of America, Todd Gary, made the decision to cancel the round as the course took on too much rain in too little time. The cancelation reverted the final scores back to the first round.
The PGA Tournament Series continues Thursday and Friday with Event #3 on the Ryder Course. Black and Schmid will both be participating in Event #3 as well.
