Riverside, IA – Three of our Iowa PGA Professionals Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club, Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course and Chris Black of Hickory Hills Golf Course all wrapped up play after competing in the Stroke Play Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
In McCarty’s final round he carded birdies on holes 4, 6 and 17 including bogeys on holes 7 and 18 to finish 35-35=70. He finished tied for 19th place, with overall three round scores of 73-68-70=211 (-3).
In Proehl’s final round he carded birdies on holes 8 and 13; bogeys on holes 1 and 6 including a double bogey on hole 9 to finish 39-34=73. Proehl finished tied for 24th place, with overall three round scores of 67-72-73=212 (-4).
In Black’s final round he carded birdies on holes 1 and 15 including bogeys on holes 3, 7, 8, 12, 16 and 18 to finish 38-37=75. He finished tied for 63rd place, with overall three round scores of 71-75-74=220 (+6).
