2020 PGA Tournament Series
Event #1 – Four of our Iowa PGA Members competed November 30 – December 1, 2020 in the PGA Tournament Series. Jeff Schmid of Brown Deer Golf Club, Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course, David Lawrence of Davenport Country Club and Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course all competed this past Monday and Tuesday at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Schmid’s first round he carded birdies on holes 4, 13 and 17 including a bogey on hole 12 with a double bogey on hole 16 which placed him tied for thirty second place. Schmid’s second round he carded birdies on holes 2, 5, 6, 9, 12, 13 and 17 including a bogey on hole 10 which placed him tied for second place. Schmid’s two-day total 71+65=136, tied for 2nd place.
Proehl’s first round he carded bogeys on holes 5, 6, 12 and 18 including birdies on holes 12 and 13 which placed him tied for fifty-second place. Proehl’s second round he carded bogeys on holes 2, 9, and 11 including birdies on holes 12 and 13 which placed him tied for forty ninth place. Proehl's two-day total 73+72=145, tied for 40th place.
Lawrence first round he carded bogeys on holes 2, 3, 4, and 5 including a birdie on hole 8 which placed him tied for sixty-fourth place. Lawrence second round he carded bogeys on holes 2, 3, 4 and 5 including a birdie on hole 8 which placed him tied for sixty-fourth place. Lawrence's two-day total 74+75=149, tied for 64th place.
Black’s first round he carded birdies on holes 3 and 17 with double bogeys on holes 4 and 10 including a bogey on hole 12 and an eagle on hole 13 which placed him tied fifty second place. Black’s second round he carded bogeys on holes 9, 10, 11 and 12 including double bogey on hole 1 with birdies on holes 4, 6 and 17 which placed him tied for fifty-fourth place. Black's two-day total 73+74=147, tied for 54th place.
Final Results – November 30 – December 1
Event #2 – Four Iowa PGA Members competed December 3 – 4, 2020 in Port St. Lucie, FL at the PGA Golf Club. Jeff Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course, David Lawrence of Davenport Country Club, Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course and Jeff Schmid of Brown Deer Golf Club, all competed this past Thursday and Friday.
Proehl’s first round carded birdies on holes 2 and 10 including bogeys on holes 5, 9, 11 and 16 which his day one total he shot 74. Proehl’s second round carded birdies on holes 1, 3, 6, 8 and 18 which his day two total he shot 70. Proehl’s two-day total 74+70=144, tied for 16th place.
Lawrence’s first round carded birdies on holes 5, 17 and 18 including bogeys on holes 6 and 11 with a double bogey on hole 9 which his day one total he shot 73. Lawrence’s second round carded birdies on holes 2, 7 and 12 including bogeys on holes 8, 10 and 15 which his day two total he shot 72. Lawrence’s two-day total 73+72=145, tied for 23rd place.
Black’s first round carded birdies on holes 1 and 8 including bogeys on holes 2, 4, 12, 15 and 16 which his day one total he shot 75. Black’s second round carded birdies on holes 6, 11 and 17 including bogeys on holes 13 and 18 which his day two total he shot 71. Black’s two-day total 75+71=146, tied for 27th place.
Schmid’s first round carded birdies on holes 3 and 7 including bogeys on holes 2, 6 and 15 with a double bogey on hole 10 which his day one total he shot 75. Schmid’s second round carded birdies on holes 1, 8 and 13 including bogeys on holes 4, 7, 9, 11 and 16 with a double bogey on hole 5 which his day two total he shot 77. Schmid’s two-day total 77+75=152, tied for 61st place.
