- Des Moines, Iowa – Iowa PGA Member Jeff Schmid of Brown Deer Golf Club qualifies for the Principal Charity Classic. He shot a 5-under-par round of 67 at Veenker Memorial Golf Course on May 27, 2025. Click here for results from Tuesday.
- Des Moines, Iowa – The Principal Charity Classic Junior Open was a Major point event on the 2025 Iowa PGA Junior and Pee Wee Tour held at Wakonda Club. Hole in 1 on #9! Rylan Weaver used a 9-iron from 138! Congratulations Rylan! Click here for results.
- Bethesda, Maryland – Three of our Iowa PGA Members competed in the 2025 Senior PGA Championship at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland (May 22-25, 2025). Schmid, McCarty and Gibb were part of the Corebridge financial PGA Team Top 35 that will competed in the 2025 Senior PGA Championship. Schmid T58th place after the 72-hole championship. - Congratulations to Iowa PGA Member Darin Fisher for qualifying for the 45th U.S. Senior Open Final in Omaha! Next stop U.S. Senior Open Championship in Broadmoor Golf Club on June 25-29, 2025, click here for results.
- Cedar Valley – The Iowa High School State Tournament completed their opening rounds on Tuesday afternoon and completed the Championship Round on Wednesday. The 1A, 2A and 3A were all held at South Hills Golf Course for 1A, Gates Park Golf Course for 2A and Pheasant Ridge Golf Course for 3A, click here for results.
