The Iowa Golf Association Wins 57th Iowa Cup Matches-
East Moline, Illinois – The Iowa Golf Association defeated the Iowa PGA Professional’s 25.5 points to 14.5 points in the 2024 57th Iowa Cup Matches at the Short Hills Country Club. This marks the second straight year the Iowa Golf Association have retained the Cup.
The Iowa Golf Association won 13.5 Single Matches on the final day of the 57th Iowa Cup Matches.
Today’s Single Matches included Dave Ranney defeated Ron Peterson, 3 & 2. Todd Fowler defeated Tony Newkirk, 1 up. Bryan Haas defeated Aaron Obrien, 1 up. Bryan Luedtke defeated Sam Zoske, 2 up. Davis Sutton defeated Kelly Brown, 9 & 7. Mark Atchison defeated Josh Janeczko, 2 & 1.
Jacob Bermel, Chris Black, Ken Schall, Tracy Vest, Matt Erger, Adam Miller, Andrew Kinney, Casey Harvey, Kevin Troubaugh, Jay Giannetto, Zach Steffen, Paul DelVecchio, JR Millar all battled in their Single Matches but eventually lost.
Joe Butler and Joe Bates tied in their single match.
The final score of the 2024 57th Iowa Cup Matches ended with the Iowa Golf Association (Amateurs) winning 25.5 points, while the Iowa PGA (Professionals) won 14.5 points.
