Team McCarty/Schmid Wins Iowa PGA Kick-Off Fourball-
Burlington, Iowa – Sean McCarty and Jeff Schmid both of Brown Deer Golf Club won the Iowa PGA Kick-Off Fourball on Monday, April 7 at Spirit Hollow Golf Course. The team of McCarty and Schmid turned in a team score of 4-under-par 68.
Teams comprised of two Iowa PGA Professionals. 18-Hole Team Event – 1 Best Ball of 2. Individual Open, Senior, Super Senior and Legends Divisions.
In addition to the team event, the Iowa PGA Team All Pro featured individual competitions for the Open, Senior, Super Senior and Legends Divisions.
McCarty took home first place in the Open Division & Senior Division with a round of 2-under-par 70. McCarty turned in birdies on holes 3, 9, 10, 13 and 16 including bogeys on holes 2, 4 and 14.
PGA Life Member Dave Ranney took home first place in the Super Senior Division with a round of 14-over-par 86. Ranney turned in bogeys on holes 7, 9, 10, 12 and 16 including double bogeys on holes 4, 5, 6 and 11.
PGA Life Member Joe Butler took home first place in the Legends Division with a round of 2-over-par 74. Butler turned in a birdie on hole 2 including bogeys on holes 3, 5 and 8.
