Team Giannetto Wins Pro-Senior-
Marshalltown, Iowa – Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club and his team of Rob Christensen, Pete Kelly and Pat Ryan won the Pro-Senior Monday, September 27 at Elmwood Country Club. Team Giannetto turned in 31 quota points to capture the win.
 
Teams for Pro-Senior were comprised of one Professional and three Senior Amateurs competing in a modified Stableford Scoring system.
 
The second-place team was Larry Castagnoli, PGA Life Member and his team of Tom Sandie, Tim Taylor and Lee Eft who turned in 21 quota points.
In addition to the team event, the Iowa PGA Pro-Senior featured individual competitions for the Open, Senior and Super Senior Divisions.
 
Matt Jennings of Edmundson Golf Course took home first place in the Open Division with a 4-under-par round of 66. Jennings carded birdies on holes 5, 6, 11, 13 and 18 including a bogey on hole 1. Giannetto, Ben Montgomery of Airport National Golf Complex and Darin Fisher of The Preserve on Rathbun Lake all turned in 3-under-par rounds of 67 to tie for second place.
 
John Dinnebier of Briarwood Golf Club took home first place in the Senior Division with 3-under-par round of 67. Dinnebier recorded birdies on holes 3, 5, 7 and 14 including a bogey on hole 1. Castagnoli was runner up in the Senior Division.
 
Castagnoli took home first place in the Super Senior Division with 2-under-par round of 68. Castagnoli recorded birdies on holes 3, 7, 13 and 18 including bogeys on holes 8 and 16. Jeff Smith of Harvest Point Golf Course turned in 1-under-par round of 69 to come in second place in the Super Senior Division.
