Team Dinnebier/Stewart & Team Luedtke/Miller Tied In The Pro-Pro #3-
Ames, Iowa – Team John Dinnebier of Briarwood Golf Club and Ty Stewart Hyperion Field Club and Team Bryan Luedtke of Bunker Links Golf Course and Allan Miller of Tour Edge Golf tied in the Pro-Pro #3 on Monday, September 20 at Ames Golf & Country Club. Teams of Dinnebier and Stewart and Team of Luedtke and Miller all turned in 7-under-par rounds of 64.
Teams for Pro-Pro #3 were comprised of two Iowa PGA Professionals competing in an 18-Hole, one best ball of two format.
Dinnebier and Stewart carded birdies on holes 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17 and 18 including a bogey on hole 2. Luedtke and Miller carded an eagle on hole 8; birdies on holes 2, 7, 9, 12, 13 and 15 including a bogey on hole 18.
In addition to the team event, the Iowa PGA Pro-Pro #3 featured individual competitions for the Open, Senior and Super Senior Divisions.
Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club claimed first place in the Open Division with a 4-under-par round of 67. McCarty carded birdies on holes 3, 8, 10 and 13. Luedtke, Ben Montgomery of Airport National Golf Complex and Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf all tied for runner-up with a 3-under-par round of 68.
Luedtke and Gibb tied for first place in the Senior Division with a 3-under-par round of 68. Luedtke carded an eagle on hole 8; birdies on holes 12, 13 and 15 including bogeys on holes 10 and 18. Gibb carded birdies on holes 1, 13, 15 and 17 including a bogey on hole 18.
Jim Henry of EK Golf won the Super Senior Division with a 7-over-par round of 78. Henry carded a birdie on hole 13; bogeys on holes 2, 7, 12 and 18 including a double bogey on holes 9 and 15. Runner up Life Member Larry Castagnoli turned in 12-over-par round of 83.
