Proehl & McCarty Teams Top 3 at the PGA Four-Ball Stableford Team Championship

Pt. St. Lucie, Florida – Two Iowa PGA Professionals competed in the PGA Four-Ball Stableford Team Championship held at PGA Golf Club in Pt. St. Lucie on February 2-4, 2020.
 
Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course in Waukee, IA teamed up with JC Anderson of Bonita Springs, FL to finish round one in second place with sixteen points. Proehl made birdies on holes 5, 8 and 17 to match Andersons five birdies on day one.
 
Proehl and Anderson scored sixteen points today in round two of the Championship to finish the day in second place. Proehl made five birdies in all including birdieing three of the first seven holes. Anderson made three birdies on the back nine to help the team score those sixteen points.
 
Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club of Coralville, IA paired up with his teammate from the 2020 PGA Cup Matches held in Austin, Texas last fall.  Rich Berberian of Hooksett, NH to finish day one in a tie for third place with fifteen points. McCarty made an eagle and a birdie to match Berberian’s four birdies in round one.
 
McCarty and Berberian scored sixteen points in round two of the Championship to remain in third place. McCarty made three birdies to go along with Berberian’s five birdies.
