Proehl Leads Iowa Senior PGA Professional Championship After Day 1-
Waterloo, Iowa – Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course leads the Iowa Senior PGA Professional Championship on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Irv Warren Memorial Golf Course. Proehl turned in 5-under-par 67 to lead going into round two tomorrow.
Final round will be held at South Hills Golf Course and will be completed on August 25, 2022. First tee times start at 8:00 am tomorrow. Click here, for round two tee times.
Proehl carded birdies on holes 4, 12, 15 and 16; an eagle on hole 3 and a double bogey on hole 2.
Runner-up Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club carded birdies on holes 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 16 including bogeys on holes 14 and 15.
Life Member Joe Butler leads the Super Senior Division with even-par 72. Butler carded birdies on holes 4, 12 and 16 including bogeys on holes 2, 14 and 18. Runner-up John Bermel of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course carded birdies on holes 3, 5 and 11 including bogeys on holes 1, 6, 7, 8 and 15.
