Proehl Champion of the Iowa PGA Match Play Championship-
East Moline, Illinois – The Iowa PGA Match Play Champion is Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course. The event was held on Tuesday, May 9 at Short Hills Country Club.
Players were seeded according to the Master Points List kept by the Iowa PGA and player reputation.
Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course in Urbandale, Iowa won the Match Play by defeating Matt Jennings of Bos Landen Golf Club in the final match, 4 & 2.

Proehl earned a first-round bye. He faced David Gantt of Des Moines Driving Range in the second round, defeating him, 6 & 5. He then went on to knock off Matt Erger of Airport National Golf Complex, 7 & 6 in round 3. In the Quarterfinals Proehl took on Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course and defeated him, 1 up in the match. In the Semifinals Proehl defeated Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club, 22 Holes. The final Championship match had Proehl defeating Jennings, 4 & 2 to win the 2023 Iowa PGA Match Play Championship.
