Lawrence Wins NB Golf Cars/M&M Golf Cars October Shootout-
Altoona, Iowa – David Lawrence of Davenport Country Club wins the NB Golf Cars/M&M Golf Cars October Shootout on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Terrace Hills Golf Course.
Iowa PGA Professionals are competing in a 36-Hole Stroke Play with Open, Senior and Super Senior Divisions.
Lawrence claims first place in the Open Division with a 7-under-par round of 66. Lawrence carded birdies on holes 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 11 and 18. There was a two-way tie for second place between Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club both carded 10-under-par.
Gibb wins the Senior Division with a 6-under-par round of 65. Gibb recorded birdies on holes 4, 8, 11, 13, 16 and 18. Runner-up Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club turned in 3-under-par round of 68.
Jeff Smith of Harvest Point Golf Course wins the Super Senior Division with a 2-under-par round of 69. Smith carded birdies on holes 6, 7, 9, 11, 14 and 15 including bogeys on holes 2, 4, 10 and 13. Runner-up Curt Schnell of Okoboji View Golf Course turned in 1-over-par rounds of 72.
