Krueger and Team win Iowa PGA Pro-Senior

Waterloo, Iowa – Iowa PGA Member, Aaron Krueger and his team of Jim Adrianse, Tom Child and Dave Maurer won the Iowa PGA Pro-Senior event at the Sunnyside Country Club on September 17. This tournament was a team event, which consisted of one Iowa PGA Professional and three senior amateurs playing in a team point quota format.    

Krueger’s team posted 21 quota points defeating the next closes team by 11 points. Adam Squires of Sunnyside Country Club and his team of Glenn Stech, Craig Wickham and Mike Knox carded 11 quota points in the round to finish second. 

In addition to the team event, the Pro-Senior also featured Open, Senior and Super Senior Division competitions. 

Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course won the Open Division with a 5-under-par 67. Black carded six birdies in the round,
including four-in-a-row on Nos. 15-18. He outlasted Krueger by one stroke. Krueger tallied five birdies in his round to shoot 4-under-par 68. 

Ken Schall won the Senior Division after recording a 3-under-par 69 with seven birdies. He beat out John Dinnebier by one stroke. Dinnebier registered six brides in his 2-under-par 70 round. 

Joe Butler was the Super Senior Division Champion. Butler carded two birdies to finish at 2-over-par 74. Gale Gilbert finished right behind Butler with a 3-over-par 75. Gilbert’s round was highlighted by two birdies.
