Junior Academy Stroke Play & Senior Stroke Play Event-
Junior Academy Stroke Play Event- LEADERBOARD
Cedar Falls, Iowa – Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf and Tracy Vest both tied for first place in the Individual Junior Academy Stroke Play event on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course. Gibb and Vest both turned in E-par round of 72. Gibb carded birdies on holes 3, 4 and 11 including bogeys on holes 10, 16 and 17. Vest carded birdies on holes 3, 4, 7 and 17 with an eagle on hole 17 including a double bogey on hole 10.
 
There was also a team event where Professionals were paired with three Junior Academy participants for a fun team event. The Junior Golfers played a three-person best shot (scramble) and the Professionals played their own ball. The team score was the better score of the two scores (1-best ball).
 
Gibb and his team of Lily Barker, Taylor Rasmussen, Kaden Kopsa and Joel Peterson won the Junior Academy Stroke Play Team event by shooting a 12-under par round of 60.
 
Tyler Faltys hole in one on #5 from 168 with a 7 iron. His first ever hole in one. Witnessed by Casey Harvey, Hannah Patrick, Lillian Dehner and Charlie Ford. Congratulations Tyler!

Junior Academy Senior Stroke Play Event- LEADERBOARD
Curt Schnell of Okoboji View Golf Course won the Individual Junior Academy Senior Stroke Play event on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course. Schnell turned in a 2-under-par round of 70 to capture the win. Schnell carded birdies on holes 3, 8 and 12 including a bogey on hole 5.
 
Terry Anderson of Elks Country Club and Schnell both tied for first place in the Super Senior Division with a 2-under-par round of 70.
 
There was also a team event where Professionals were paired with three Junior Academy participants for a fun team event. The Junior Golfers played a three-person shambles and the Professionals played their own ball. The team score was two best balls of four.
 
John Bermel of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course and his team of Shaylin Munson, Gabe Kramer and Kate Altorfer and Hannah Bermel and her team of Han nah Patrick, Kaden Kopsa and Joel Peterson tied for first place in the Junior Academy Senior Stroke Play Team event by shooting 4-under-par 140.
