West Des Moines, Iowa – The Iowa PGA hosted the NB Golf Cars/M & M Golf Cars Iowa PGA Foundation Pro-Am presented by the Iowa Golf Association at Glen Oaks Country Club in Des Moines on Monday, August 19.
PGA Life Member Jerry Johnson led his team of Jeff Schneider, Clint Schneider and Tyler Stahlin to the victory in this Team Event Quota System with 6 team points. In a tie for second place was the team of PGA Professional Ben Montgomery of the Twin Pines Golf Course, Mike Humphrey, Cory Kamoss and Tony Foss and PGA Professional Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club, Matt Estabrook, Zach Stahlin and Jon Vance with minus 5 team points.

Montgomery played great golf and won the Open Division with a 5-under par round of 66. His round included seven birdies and two bogeys. Matt Erger of the Airport National Golf Course and Chad Callan of the Briarwood Golf Club finished in a tie for second place with 1-under rounds of 70.
Chad Proehl of the Sugar Creek Golf Course and Rob Randall of The Legacy Golf Club tied for first in the Senior Division with rounds of even-par 71.
Joe Butler of the Burlington Golf Club was the Super Senior Champion with a round of 2-over par 73. Finishing in a tie for second place with rounds of 74 were Curt Schnell of the Okoboji View Golf Course and Larry Castagnoli, Life Member.
Amateur Rex Glantz from the Briarwood Golf Club and playing with PGA General Manager John Dinnebier, Ron Lamie and Tim Carlisle made a Hole-In-One on the 161-yard Par-3 14th Hole. Congratulations to Rex on his second Hole-In-One in his storied career.

Two of the primary beneficiaries of this event will be the Burkart scholarship and Swings with Kids program. The Burkhart scholarship is an annual college scholarship awarded in memory of Charlie Burkhart, a PGA member of 49 years and PGA Head Professional at Elmcrest CC in Cedar Rapids of 42 years.
