Iowa PGA Fall Events

The Iowa PGA Fall Events will be hosted by Riverside Casino & Golf Resort on Monday and Tuesday, October 23-24. There are no fees to attend these functions due to fantastic sponsorship support.  Please make sure to sign up for each event if you plan to attend so the Iowa PGA can properly prepare.  Feel free to call the Section office at (319) 648-0026 or email the Section staff with any questions or with assistance with registering.

There is a special hotel rate available for Sunday and Monday night at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort.  Please call the hotel directly – (319) 648-1234 and mention the Iowa PGA.

Iowa PGA Members will earn two general PDRs for attending the Merchandise Show and hour for hour PGA Education PDRs for any and all education on Monday and Tuesday. Members will also earn two general MSRs for attending the Luncheon and hour for hour PGA Meeting MSRs for attending the Business Meeting.

Current PDR Cycle began June 16, 2022 and runs through Juen 15, 2025.  Requirements and PDR classifications are new and different for this cycle.  CLICK HERE for complete details.

Meet Our Speakers

Nick Bolhuis, Neuropeak Pro VP of Performance Programs

Nick leads Neuropeak Pro’s performance training programs and initiatives. As Vice President of Performance Programs, Nick has extensive experience working with teams and athletes from the collegiate up to the professional level in every major sport, including the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, WTA, PGA, LPGA, and more. Nick was recently featured in the Netflix new series ‘Quarterback’ while Kirk Cousins engages in Neuropeak Pro’s Neurofeedback and Precision Breathing Training.

He also has experience leading training programs designed to promote and improve employee wellness. Nick says the most inspiring aspect of his job is that we get to see tangible, life-changing improvements in our clients all the time. Nick plays an integral role in sharing the Neuropeak Pro story as the company develops new relationships.

Chad Pitts, CEO / Executive Director Iowa Golf Association
Chad Pitts has been on staff with the Iowa Golf Association since he was a P.J. Boatwright Intern in 2002. Since 2016 he has served as the CEO/Executive Director. He has been certified as an expert on the Rules of Golf and has been invited to officiate at a dozen USGA championships. He lives in Waukee with his wife Kristie, their two young children – Elsie and Marcus, and their dog, Matt.

Joe Canny, PGA Professional in Residence for UNL PGA PGM Program
Joe is an Iowa native and a 2009 graduate of the PGA Golf Management Program at the University of Nebraska. After completing his degree he worked in Consumer Marketing for the PGA of America National Headquarters, Junior Golf/Player Development for the Nebraska PGA, and Player Development Supervisor for the City of Lincoln. Joe has been in his current position of PGA Professional in Residence at UNL for three years working in recruiting and retention. Joe’s primary area of focus is District 8 with the Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota PGA Sections.

Tracey Faenza is a Senior Financial Advisor for Corebridge Financial since 2018 and has over 20 years of experience in the financial service industry.  She is Series 6, 63 and 65 registered, and maintain my Life & Variable licenses in all 50 states. I have been fortunate to work with the PGA’s Golf Retirement Plus program for more than 10 years, and greatly enjoy working with the PGA professionals as they strive to realize their hopes and dreams for retirement.  Her experience, knowledge and resources can help with a range of financial needs.

Kevin Drew, PGA serves as the PGA ExecuSearch Consultant for the Iowa and Nebraska PGA Sections. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Drew joins the Career Services team on the heels of an 11-year career at green grass, most recently spending 8 years as the PGA Head Golf Professional at the Field Club of Omaha. As a graduate of the PGA Golf Management Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Drew spent a year in the Colorado Section before returning home to the Nebraska Section to take on the first of his two head professional positions he held. He has also served the Nebraska Section as Secretary and spent two terms on the Nebraska PGA Tournament Committee. Drew is passionate about building relationships with fellow professionals and assisting PGA Professionals and Associates in the Iowa and Nebraska Sections with their employment and career development for many years to come.

Greg has been a Golf Professional in the Omaha area since 1989 and a PGA member since 1992. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Greg was named the 2012 Golf Professional of the Year, has served as chairman on numerous committees and is a Past President of the Nebraska Section PGA. Greg currently serves as PGA District 8 Director for Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska Sections.  He is in his 23rd year as PGA Director of Golf at Champions Run in Omaha, NE.
