Iowa PGA Fall Events
The Iowa PGA Fall Events will be hosted by Riverside Casino & Golf Resort on Monday and Tuesday, October 20-21. There are no fees to attend these functions due to fantastic sponsorship support. Please make sure to sign up for each event if you plan to attend so the Iowa PGA can properly prepare. Feel free to call the Section office at (319) 648-0026 or email the Section staff with any questions or with assistance with registering.
There is a special hotel rate available for Sunday and Monday night at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort. $119.95+tax for King and $129.95+tax for double queens. Please call the hotel directly – (319) 648-1234 and mention the Iowa PGA.
Iowa PGA Members will earn two general PDRs for attending the Merchandise Show and hour for hour PGA Education PDRs for any and all education on Monday and Tuesday. Members will also earn two general PDRs for attending the Luncheon and hour for hour PGA Meeting PDRs for attending the Business Meeting.
Current PDR Cycle began June 16, 2025 and runs through June 15, 2028. Requirements and PDR classifications are new and different for this cycle. CLICK HERE for complete details.

Town Hall with Mike O’Donnell, PGA Senior Director Membership & Section Operations, Aaron Krueger, PGA incoming District 8 Director, Phil Anderson, PGA Current District 8 Director and Erin Strieck, PGA Iowa Section President.
PGA of America Master Professional Mike O’Donnell joined the PGA of America as Senior Director of Member & Section Operations in February 2024. He serves as the key driver of strategic vision and operational excellence for Section Business Operations, Player Engagement, Recruiting, Training, ExecuSearch and Career Services.
A PGA of America Golf Professional since 1997 and PGA Master Professional since 2010, O’Donnell brings over 20 years of experience in leading people, leading change and driving operational efficiencies across a variety of operating environments within the golf industry. O’Donnell has held a variety of positions within the golf industry from Apprentice Professional to General Manager; operated in all four sectors of green grass: public, private, resort and Military; and experienced a variety of governance structures from private single owner to Federal Government.
