Howe Named Honorary Captain–
Iowa PGA Erin Strieck has appointed Scott Howe, PGA Director of Golf at the Des Moines Golf & CC to be the Iowa Cup Matches Honorary Captain for the 2025 event. The event will be held on September 30-October 1, 2025, at the Ames Golf & CC.
Howe has been at Des Moines Golf & CC since 1994. Howe was First Assistant PGA Professional from 1987-1994. He became the PGA Head Professional in 1994 and was promoted to PGA Director of Golf in 2004. He also spent time as an Assistant at Hyperion Field Club.

- Iowa PGA Professional of the Year – 1999
- Iowa Golf Association Professional of the Year – 2001
- Assistant Professional of the Year – 1985 and 1990
- Professional Development Award – 1992 and 1993
- Private Merchandiser of the Year – 1999
- Served on the Iowa PGA Board – 1987-1993
- Iowa PGA Education Chair – 1991-1997
- Match Play Champion – 1989
