Riverside, Iowa – Jay Horton of All Star Pro Golf has been named the 2018 Iowa PGA Sales Representative of the Year. This honor is based on the vendor’s entire record. This is the highest honor paid to a Sales Representative. The award is based on the following attributes, strengths in service and communication, contributions made to nominee’s company’s success, contributions to the game of golf at the section level, size and success of nominee’s line, sales call rotation and customer interaction and previous awards or community involvement.

“I am truly honored to be the Sales Representative of the Year in the Iowa Section,” said Horton. “I have been blessed my entire professional career to be able to work in an industry that I love. To have my efforts recognized by my peers is truly humbling.”

Since joining All Star Pro Golf in 2012, Horton has been pushing a 200% increase in total sales for end of this year. He has been able to increase his annual sales each year and has been responsible for over $3,000,000 worth of sales. Horton also started All Star Pro Golf’s corporate division, which is now responsible for 10% of the company’s sales.

“Jay and I have been working together for about 10 years. He is one of the best promotional sale people I have ever dealt with, “said Doug Goff. “The qualities I admire most about Jay are he is trustworthy and always does what he says, timely in his responses, he listens and always asks how make things look the way we want, and he is always a good time.”

All Star Pro Golf is one of the Iowa PGA’s longest running sponsors, sponsoring the likes of the 2018 Annual Awards Luncheon, the Spring Membership Meeting and Tournament and providing tee gifts for Iowa PGA Junior Tour events. The Iowa PGA is just one section that Horton has worked out sponsorship deals with. Earlier in his career he developed the strategy to sponsor multiple sections across the country. In addition to the Iowa Section, All Star Pro Golf also sponsors the Gateway Section, the Michigan Section, the Nebraska Section, the Minnesota Section, the Illinois Section and the Midwest Section.

“It is obvious Jay appreciates the Sections and the PGA Professionals and knows that supporting them will go a long way in generating positive results for All Star Pro Golf,” said Michigan PGA Executive Director, Kevin Helm. “Jay has gone out of his way to form relationships with a lot of our PGA Professionals and I am sure he does the same in Iowa as well as other Sections.”

In addition to his success and dedication to his business, Horton has also displayed devotion to his community. He has gotten involved with the Chamber of Commerce, been a part of multiple networking groups, become an affiliate of the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS and assisted in helping to execute and run golf tournaments in the Iowa City area.

Through his hard work and dedication to All Star Pro Golf, the Iowa PGA, his customers and his community, Jay has elevated many organizations. We are proud to call Jay a friend and to announce him as the Iowa PGA Sales Representative of the Year.
