Giannetto Leads NB Golf Cars/M&M Golf Cars October Shootout After Day One-
Altoona, Iowa – Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club leads the NB Golf Cars/M&M Golf Cars October Shootout after day one, Monday, October 3, 2022 at Terrace Hills Golf Course. Final round will be completed on October 4, 2022 with tee times tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM.
Iowa PGA Professionals are competing in a 36-Hole Stroke Play with Open, Senior and Super Senior Divisions.
Giannetto sits in first place in the Open Division with a 6-under-par round of 65. Giannetto carded an eagle on hole 6; birdies on holes 8, 9, 11, 14 and 16 including a bogey on hole 5. There is a two-way tie for second place between Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club and David Lawrence of Davenport Country Club both carded 5-over-par rounds of 66.
McCarty leads in the Senior Division. McCarty recorded birdies on holes 4, 6, 7, 11, 12, 14 and 16 including bogeys on holes 2 and 3. Runner-up Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf carded 4-under-par round of 67.
There is a two-way tie for first place in the Super Senior Division between Jeff Smith of Harvest Point Golf Course and Curt Schnell of Okoboji View Golf Course both turned in 2-under-par rounds of 69.
