Dill Leads Round One of the 91st Iowa Open-
Riverside, Iowa – The 91st Iowa Open presented by Riverside Casino and Golf Resort is led by Carter Dill of Tampa, Florida on Friday, August 2 at Blue Top Ridge. Dill turned in a 8-under-par round of 64 to lead the round one.
Dill carded birdies on holes 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 12, 14, 15 and 17 including a bogey on hole 11. In second place Mac McClear of Hinsdale, Illinois turned in 7-under-par 65.
Pro Senior Division is led by Chad Proehl of Urbandale, Iowa by turning in a 4-under-par 68. Proehl carded birdies on holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 14, 15, 16 and 17 including bogeys on holes 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. In second place led by Bryan Luedtke of Galesburg, Illinois turned in a 2-under-par 70.
Pro Super Senior Division is led by John Bermel of Cedar Falls, Iowa by turning in a 1-over-par 73. Bermel carded a birdie on hole 10 including bogeys on holes 2 and 11. In second place, lead by Marshall Gavre of Green Valley, Arizona turned in a 4-over-par 76.
Open Amateur Division is led by Zach May of Ames, Iowa by turning in a 2-under-par 70. May carded birdies on holes 7, 8, 10 and 17 including bogeys on holes 11 and 13. Two play tie for second place with Brock Snyder of Ames, Iowa and Braeden Nelson of West Des Moines, Iowa both turned in 1-under-par 71.
Open Senior Amateur Division is led by Mark Gambaiana of Des Moines, Iowa by turning in a 9-over-par 81. Gambaiana carded birdies on holes 12 and 17; bogeys on holes 1, 5, 7, 13, 14, 16 and 18 including double bogeys on holes 8 and 11. In second place has a two-player tie with rounds of 11-over-par 83 were Jay Hickman of Hampton, Iowa and Scott Schultz of Muscatine, Iowa.
Open Super Senior Amateur Division is led by Bill Corrick of Fairfield, Iowa by turning in a 7-over-par 79. Corrick carded a birdie on hole 14; bogeys on holes 4, 6, 8 and 10 including double bogeys on holes 9 and 12.
The second round of the 91st Iowa Open takes place tomorrow at Blue Top Ridge. Groups will start off Numbers 1 and 10 at 7:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. For pairings and tee times, click here.
