Iowa PGA Section Office Career Opportunities

One of the goals within the Iowa Strategic Plan was to analyze the staffing model and organizational structure of the Section. Through this, a new staff position has been created. This position will be a Director of Player Development and Membership Development. The position summary explains the purpose for creating this job:

“This full-time opportunity is focused around player development and outreach to our Iowa PGA Section Members & Associates along with special projects for the Iowa PGA Section and Foundation. In these efforts, this position will be required to build partnerships with PGA Professionals, facilities (PGA staffed and non-PGA staffed), local schools and community groups within the Section’s boundaries. Measures for success will include participation, satisfaction and measurable movement in Player Development Programs, Membership Relations and the Section’s Strategic Plan. The individual in this position shall act on behalf of the Iowa PGA Section and reports to the Executive Director.”

This is an exciting opportunity that we feel can grow the game within the Iowa PGA and can also be a conduit between our PGA Members & Associates and the Iowa PGA Staff within the Membership Services duties. We are fully committed to this position and understand it can take several years to develop and see the fruit of its labor.

We are excited about all three positions and how they can begin to assist our Iowa PGA Members, Associates and Facilities throughout the state grow our great game of golf.

The Communications Coordinator and Tournament Assistant can come from outside the golf business. We want people with great communication skills and personality. We can train the rest, even if you don't golf.

The Director of PD/MD has as one of its qualities – “PGA Member in good standing, preferred."
