Dinnebier, Vest Crowned Pro-Pro #5 Champions

OSKALOOSA, Iowa – John Dinnebier and Tracy Vest won the Pro-Pro #5 at Harvest Point Golf Course in Oskaloosa Monday afternoon.

The dynamic duo shot 8-under par 62 to capture the victory. Vest of Blue Top Ridge had the only eagle between the two carding 3-under par to finish tied for third in the Open Division. Dinnebier of Briarwood Golf Club shot 1-over par 71 to finish tied for fourth in the Senior Division.

In the Open Division, Sean McCarty of Brown Deer GC earned his first tournament championship of the season. McCarty carded a tournament most eight birdies including a stretch on the back nine of five straight. McCarty won the division by a total of two strokes with a 6-under par 64 for his fourth finish in the Top-5.

In the Senior Division, Judd Gibb of Lakeside Municipal GC and Stephen Hutton of Geneva G & CC took a share of the title on Monday. Gibb and Hutton both carded 1-under par 69’s. Gibb rattled off three birdies throughout his round while Hutton had two and a bogey-free round on the back nine.  Gibb and Hutton both won their first tournaments of the season at Harvest Point GC.

In the Super Senior Division, Mark Lemon of retired life member won his first event of the season registering an even-par 70. Lemon led the division with a total of four birdies, three of which came on the back nine.
