I currently live in Florida.

Unsure, but I wish I could relive my childhood experience with the Iowa Junior Tour tournaments.

PLEASE LIST SOME ACCOMPLISHMENTS YOU ACHIEVED WHILE ON THE IOWA JUNIOR TOUR.

– Waukee High School 5A State champion (individual and team). Broke 90% of school records in golf career.

– Medaled in several Iowa Junior Tour tournaments

– Iowa High School Golf Coaches Player of the Year 2012

– Iowa Optimist Junior Champion 2011 and 2012 (selected to play at PGA National Golf Course West Palm Beach)

– Callaway World Junior Champion for Iowa/Missouri selected to play at Torrey Pines for Callaway World Championship 2012

– Recruited by several colleges to play golf

WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT THIS POINT IN TIME? (IN COLLEGE, GRADUATED COLLEGE, WORKING FULL-TIME, ETC.)

I am finishing up my last semester with Florida Gulf Coast University’s PGA Golf Management program. After my graduation in July, I will have completed all necessary steps to obtain my PGA card and become a full-time golf instructor.

HOW HAS GOLF CONTINUED TO STAYED A PART OF YOUR LIFE, INFLUENCED YOU NOW?

Golf is playing a major role in my life, as I am teaching golf to juniors, adults, seniors and people of all abilities on a day-to-day basis.

DID YOU OR ARE YOU PLAYING COLLEGIATE GOLF? IF YES, WHERE?

Unfortunately I am not. The program I am in is very time consuming and I have dedicated all of my time towards my education in the teaching industry so I can give back to the game.

DID THE IOWA JUNIOR TOUR HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE? WHETHER IN GOLF OR GENERAL? HOW SO?

The Iowa Junior Tour had a positive impact on my life in golf and also in building my skills such as patience, dedication, honesty, and integrity. I truly believe that golf shapes a lot of individuals lives and we learn valuable lessons through golf. The experiences I gained from the Iowa Junior Tour were memories I will never forget.

I was on the Iowa Junior Tour for over 5 seasons from 2008-2014.

In 2012 I was the Iowa Junior Tour Player of the Year.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT THIS POINT IN TIME?

I graduated from Park University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and am now working full-time as a Financial Services Representative at First American Bank in Fort Dodge.

AFTER COMPETING ON THE IOWA JUNIOR TOUR, PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW GOLF HAS STAYED A PART OF YOUR LIFE.

Apart from continuing my education at Park University to play golf, I have continued playing golf in the Fort Dodge City Tour every year. I am also the Saint Edmond High School Girls’ Golf Coach.

HOW MANY SEASONS DID YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE IOWA JUNIOR TOUR?

I competed on the Iowa Junior Tour for over 5 years during my childhood.

PLEASE LIST SOME ACCOMPLISHMENTS YOU ACHIEVED WHILE ON THE IOWA JUNIOR TOUR.

I was Junior Tour Player of the Year when I was 13 years old. I won 10+ tournaments playing on the Junior Tour.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT THIS POINT IN TIME?

I began my first semester at Iowa State University in the Fall of 2016 and am majoring in Business.

AFTER COMPETING ON THE IOWA JUNIOR TOUR, PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW GOLF HAS STAYED A PART OF YOUR LIFE.

I still practice and play golf every single day and love every minute of it. I still play competitive tournaments all over the country and I love trying to get better everyday.

AFTER GRADUATION, DID YOU OR ARE YOU PLAYING COLLEGIATE GOLF? IF YES, WHERE?

I began playing collegiate golf at Iowa State University this last summer (2016).

DID THE IOWA JUNIOR TOUR HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE? WHETHER IN GOLF OR GENERAL? HOW SO?

It had a great impact on my life, being able to compete against very good competition and making many friends along the way. I learned how to compete on this tour and I met a lot of great people and great friends along the way.

This is a great tour with many well run golf tournaments that teaches kids the rules of golf and how to compete against others.

I am currently attending the University of South Dakota where I am majoring in Criminal Justice.

I continue to play golf in college and in summer tournaments while also keeping in contact with people I met on the tour.

Yes, University of South Dakota.

DID THE IOWA JUNIOR TOUR HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE? WHETHER IN GOLF OR GENERAL? HOW SO?

Yes very much. I was able to get competitive golf experience, meet new friends, and overall grow as a player in order to play golf at the next level successfully.

The junior tour is a great springboard for future golfers and a good way to get involved in the sport starting at a young age.
