East Moline, Illinois – The second pre-qualifier for the John Deere Classic took place today at the Short Hills Country Club. 17 players advanced from today’s event into the Open Qualifier that takes place Monday, July 9 at the Pinnacle Country Club. In total, 50 players from the pre-qualifiers will play in Monday’s event.
Iowa PGA Member, Sean McCarty, advanced from the pre-qualifier to the open qualifier event. McCarty carded a 4-under-par 68 to finish T4 at the first pre-qualifier at the Pinnacle Country Club on July 5. He will join Darin Fisher, Jeff Schmid and John Panek as the fourth Iowa PGA Member to participate in the open qualifier on July 9. Pairings for the open qualifier will be annouced tomorrow.
