TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

54-Hole Championship – July 17-19, 2026

Beginning this year the Iowa PGA is partnering with Golf Waterloo to run the Waterloo Open.  The Waterloo Open Golf Classic is Iowa’s largest and oldest professional golf tournament. Established in 1933, the Waterloo Open (as it is commonly known) is organized by Golf Waterloo and run by the Iowa Section PGA, with assistance from the Waterloo Leisure Services department. Every year, the Waterloo Open hosts nearly 300 amateur and professional golfers from all across the world.

The waterloo Open is open to both professionals and amateurs with Professionals competing over three rounds at Irv Warren Golf Course. Amateurs will compete at the three great golf courses that Golf Waterloo provides in the order Gates Park Golf Course, South Hills Golf Course and finishing at Irv Warren.

ELIGIBILITY
The Waterloo Open professional event will be open to all professionals both in and out of state on a first-come first-served basis.

The Waterloo Open Amateur will be open to all amateurs both in and out of state on a first-come first-served basis. There will be three different age divisions competing:
Open division available to all competitors
Senior division available to players 50+
Super Senior division available to players 65+

WATERLOO OPEN PRO-AM
A Pro-Am event will be held the day before the event on July 16th. Professionals who wish to play are welcome to sign up and will be assigned a team leading up to the event. Professionals will be put on a waiting list until teams are assigned and will only be added and charged as teams are available. For example, if there are 10 teams, the first 10 professionals who register will be added and charged. Any players who don’t get added to the event will not be charged.
