2022 PGA Winter Championship – Senior Stroke Play Round 1 & 2
Riverside, IA – Three of our Iowa PGA Professional’s Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course, Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf and Life Member Dave Ranney are competing in the Senior Stroke Play ages 64 & Under at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Overall Group A (64 & Under) Judd Gibb is T26th place, Chad Proehl is T10th place and Dave Ranney is T36th place.
The Iowa PGA Professionals also compete within smaller age groups.
Ages 50-54 – Proehl & Gibb
Proehl’s first round he carded birdies on holes 1, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 15 including bogeys on holes 13 and 14. Proehl’s second round he carded birdies on holes 1, 2, 7 and 13 including bogeys on holes 3, 8, 10 and 14. Proehl’s two-day rounds of 67-72=139, 4-over-par, currently placed 5th place going into the final round.
Gibb’s first round he carded birdies on holes 3, 11, 12 and 18 including bogeys on holes 4, 7 and 18. Gibb’s second round he carded birdies on holes 7 and 9 including bogeys on holes 2 and 3. Gibb’s two-day rounds of 71-72=143, E-par, currently placed T13th place going into the final round.
Ages 55-59 – Ranney
Ranney’s first round he carded birdies on holes 3 and 13; bogeys on holes 5 and 9 including double bogeys on holes 16 and 18. Ranney’s second round he carded birdies on holes 7 and 11. Ranney’s two-day total rounds of 75-70=145, 2-over-par, currently placed T19th place going into the final round.
