2021 PGA Winter Championship – Senior/Junior Team Round 2
Riverside, IA – Six of our Iowa PGA Professionals are paired up as teams. Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club, John Bermel of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course and Adam Luehmann of Hillcrest Country Club and Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club and Dave Ranney of Lamoni Golf and Country Club are competing in the Senior/Junior Team Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Pt. St. Lucie, Florida on January 18-21, 2021. This is a one best ball of two Team Championship.
Bermel and Luehmann carded birdies on holes 6, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 including an eagle on hole 8 which placed them tied for 2nd place after the second round of play. Bermel and Luehmann’s second round total 33-30=63, -8. Bermel and Luehmann two-day total is 65-63=128, -15. Their tee time for Wednesday, January 20 on the Dye Course at 12:00 PM.
Proehl and Giannetto carded birdies on holes 4 and 6 including bogeys on holes 10 and 16 which placed them tied for 27th place after the second round of play. Proehl and Giannetto’s second round total 34-37=71, even par. Proehl and Giannetto two-day total is 63-71=134, -9. Their tee time for Wednesday, January 20 on the Dye Course at 10:50 AM.
Ranney and McCarty carded birdies on holes 7, 10, 13, 16 and 18 including a bogey on hole 9 which placed them tied for 29th place after the second round of play. Ranney and McCarty’s second round total 36-32=68, -4. Ranney and McCarty two-day total is 67-68=135, -8. Their tee time for Wednesday, January 20 on the Wanamaker Course at 9:20 AM.
