16th Annual Iowa PGA Las Vegas Pro-Am
Presented by Adidas and Insane Impact
2018 Golf Courses
Monday, February 19th – TPC Las Vegas – 12:30pm Shotgun Start
TPC (Tournament Players Club) Las Vegas is “desert elegance” on display. From the stunning backdrop of Red Rock Canyon to the rugged natural landscape, TPC Las Vegas golf course (formerly known as TPC Canyons) offers a test to the most seasoned of golfers. This is the premier PGA TOUR property in Las Vegas making it a destination for celebrities and PGA TOUR players alike. It’s no wonder the golf course has been heralded by Golf Digest as one of the “Best Places to Play.”
The Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd design is a par 71, 7,104-yard golf course that will test your skills while dazzling you with views of the surrounding mountains, canyons and the famed Las Vegas skyline. Your shotmaking ability is put to the test early in your round on the par-3 second hole (appropriately named “Canyon”). You will need to carry your tee shot almost 200 yards from the tips to an island-like green in the middle of the desert.

Tuesday, February 20th – Southern Highlands Golf Club – 11am Shotgun Start
With dramatic elevation changes and fairways that weave between thick trees and crystal-clear lakes, Southern Highlands is a desert treat that stirs the senses, spirit and competitive heart of a golfer.
Renowned as the top private golf club in Las Vegas and #35 on Golfweek’s Best Residential Courses, Southern Highlands is one of only four courses co-designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. and his son Robert Trent Jones Jr. From the rugged beauty of the Vegas desert, the family design team took full advantage of the mountainous terrain, setting up exciting shots that must traverse rocky crevices and deep-faced bunkers that protect undulating greens. With shimmering creeks and towering waterfalls, Southern Highlands provides spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and even the Vegas Strip. Southern Highlands was in rotation for the PGA TOUR’s Las Vegas event from 2000-2002, and hosts the annual Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters which features the toughest field in NCAA men’s golf. The club also offers a caddie program, stay-and-play cottages and the luxurious Spa Southern Highlands.

Wednesday, February 21st – Dragon Ridge Country Club – 11am Shotgun Start
Located in the McCullough Mountains, high above the Las Vegas Valley floor, DragonRidge is a unique Country Club that offers features unsurpassed in Southern Nevada.

At Dragon Ridge, Morrish and Druzisky have designed a true “Members Course” that is challenging for all skill levels. With unobstructed views of the entire valley, Dragon Ridge consists of an 18-hole, par 72 layout that stretches to 6,975 yards. With the innovative use of natural hillsides and canyons, the topography that makes up Dragon Ridge and the entire MacDonald Highlands community, is simply breathtaking.

Amateurs who have not played in Las Vegas Pro-Am previously or have not played in past five years (2013-2017):
Round one point quota will be determined by subtracting amateur Handicap Index from 36.
Amateurs who have played in event within past five years (2013-2017):
Round one point quota will be determined by averaging the point totals an amateur has scored for the most recent six rounds within the past five years. If an amateur has only played in one tournament within past five years, he/she’s quota will be determined by using most recent three rounds or less in case of round cancellation in previous years.
Example: Player A participated in Las Vegas Pro-Am in 2015 and 2016 and scored the following points for each round.
Round 1 2015 – 41
Round 2 2015 – 32
Round 3 2015 – 17
Round 1 2016 – 36
Round 2 2016 – 33
Round 3 2016 – 20
2017 Round 1 Starting Quota = 29.8 rounded to 30
Each individual’s daily quota will be adjusted for the next day’s play by increasing the quota of those golfers who exceeded their quota by one-half of the excess, and by decreasing the quota of those golfers who failed to make their quota by one-half of the deficit. After quotas have been adjusted by one-half, they will be rounded. The daily team quotas will be calculated by adding the adjusted individual quotas. Sterling Cut Glass crystal trophies will be awarded to champions of the event.
beginning in 2017, we will no longer use the sliding point scale based off of each individual’s handicap. The standard point scale indicated below will be used for all golfers within the event.
Bogey = 1 point
Par = 2 points
Birdie = 4 points
Eagle = 8 points
Double Eagle = 12 points
Those amateurs who are 65 years of age and older as of February 20th, will play from a forward set of tees that will measure approximately 5,800-6,000 yards in length.
This event is a team event only, with no individual competitions associated.
