Jester Park Golf Course opened on the Fourth of July in 1971 and has recently been awarded one of the Best Places to Play Golf according to Cityview. It is located just 30 minutes North of downtown Des Moines and is the perfect place to enjoy a round of golf, the beautiful countryside and an occasional glimpse of wildlife.  Jester Park’s 18-hole regulation course will host round 1 for all Junior Tour divisions of the Principal Charity Classic Junior Open (No Pee Wees for round 1).

The 18-hole championship public course at Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella, Iowa located just 40 miles outside Des Moines, was designed by well-known architect Dick Phelps. It has been ranked as Iowa’s #1 Public Golf Course from 1997 to 2001 and was also ranked in the Top-75 Most Affordable Golf

Courses in the United States, all according to Golf Digest. Golf Digest also awarded Bos Landen with its “Four Star Place to Play – 2007.” Each hole features 5 sets of tees for players of all skill levels, ranging from 5,100 to 7,000 yards in length.

The course sits on 190 heavily wooded acres and features a wide variety of shot making holes. Bos Landen is a great test of skill to all players and the picturesque scenery with fantastic terrain and beautiful views.  This course is more difficult to walk and play and all players need to be prepared before registering to play.

The Pella Golf & Country Club is a 9-hole course found just off of Main Street.  Mature trees, strategically placed sand traps, well-groomed watered fairway, maincured but not-so-easy sloping greens and many changes in elevation keep the course challenging, even for the more experienced golfer. The 9-hole course features 2,981 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36.  Junior Tour 9-hole divisions and the Pee Wee Tour will play Pella G & CC on May 7, 2017.
