2009 Iowa Open Golf Championship Sponsored By Riverside Casino and Golf Resort

Riverside Casino and Golf ResortThe 2009 Iowa Open Golf Championship sponsored by Riverside Casino and Golf Resort will be held at Blue Top Ridge at Riverside Casino and Golf Resort on August 20th -22nd.  This 54-Hole Iowa Section PGA administered event serves as Iowa’s premiere golf championship open to both amateur and professional golfers who reside in Iowa or attend college full time in the state.  Iowa Section PGA Professionals residing in Illinois are also eligible to compete in this annual championship.   This year’s event is comprised of 88 of the best golfers in the state of Iowa and Iowa Section PGA boundaries.   2007 Masters Champion, Zach Johnson won this event in 2002 and 2001.

Curt Schnell, Spirit Lake, IA  1991, 1982, 1978

Tee times for the first two rounds will begin starting at 8:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 20th and Friday, August 21st.  The final round will consist of the low seventy and ties and will be contested on Saturday, August 22nd with tee times off of #1 Tee with high scores teeing off first.  Video interviews and up-to-date results will be posted at www.iowapga.com.
